Les Liaisons Délicieuses has hosted a wide range of men and women of all ages and across generations who are looking for a delicious, educational experience with food, wine, a range of cultural experiences and a connection with others who share their interests. Patti and her trip leaders are all good cooks, gracious hostesses, and ardent Francophiles fluent in French. Each trip is carefully planned by Patti and each trip leader is well versed and connected within the locations they travel to.
Patti Ravenscroft, Founder and President of Les Liaisons Délicieuses, is a professional member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), The American Institute of Wine and Food (AIWF), and Les Dames d’Escoffier. Since 1994, Patti has designed and run over 80 trips for Les Liaisons Délicieuses. She fell in love with France, French food, and France’s rich historical, cultural, and artistic heritage at the age of 15 and since then has lived and traveled extensively all over France. The birth of Les Liaisons Délicieuses in 1994 was a dream come true for Patti which she loves to share with fellow gourmets and Francophiles. In 2004, Patti was named a Chevalière de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole by the government of France for her work in educating Americans about French agricultural products. Patti runs most all of the trips and is completely hands-on.
Judith Raak, is LLD’s office manager and a trip leader. Judy is a French teacher who delights in sharing her love of the French language, culture, and cuisine. She studied in Besançon, Tours and Montreal, and has an MA in French literature. Judy has traveled extensively in France and enjoys the life-long learning adventures and new relationships that LLD brings together.
